Hi everyone.
My husband has had Myasthenia for 3 years or so. The Mestinon was working fine until he caught a bug which made him worse. He went for IV treatment which was amazing. Unfortunately when he went for the booster he had an allergic reaction. After this the doctor added prednisone to his daily meds. What are your experiences with this? I'm not really sure it helps at all. He is tired all the time plus it seems to make him irritable. I would appreciate your feedback. Thanks |

I assume by “IV treatment” he had IVIG? He should have been given Benadryl with treatment for an allergic reaction, as well as Tylenol for a possible headache.
Prednisone has all kinds of side effects. It takes some time to see the benefits, this depends on the person and the dosage. Irritability is one of the side effects. Jim |
