I have IVIG next week and I am trying to decide which is more important, quarantine or IVIG. I get IVIG every 4 weeks, going to every 5 weeks in May. I get my IVIG at a satellite facility of University of Michigan Hospital. My first concern is my ride, very little social distance there. Then there is the check-in process where I will be given a hospital bracelet, more contact. Besides the nurse putting in and taking out the needle, there is also my blood pressure and temperature taken 7 or 8 times.
My MG isn’t as bad as most here, and I have gone 8 weeks when the snow was so bad here. I wasn’t that bad, a little rough the last week. What has me concerned is going 12 weeks if there is no improvement in COVID-19 by the beginning of May. Any insight would be helpful. Jim |

I am scheduled for IVIG this coming Monday. I will go wearing gloves and an N95 mask and lots of Purell.

I contacted my neurologist the same time I wrote this post. He suggested that I go in case I need to miss the May dose. I have never seen the U of M Health Center so empty. I think there were more employees than patients. All employees had on masks. Guests were not allowed back with the patients. All nurses and techs had on masks and gloves. Overall it went well. If I do go in May I too will wear a mask. Jim
