Default prednisone or ??

Has anyone tried taking licorice? I read that it is similar to prednisone without the side effects and was being considered as a treatment for lupus.

How about DHEA? I asked my doctor but he wouldn't discuss it only said that he would send me to Stanford if I wanted.

I don't deal with M.G. but I've been taking DHEA for probably 20 yrs at about 60 or so from my first integrative MD...do research on DHEA, LifeExtension are the frontrunners on this critical hormone. Allopathic MD's sadly are pretty clueless. Licorice can elevate blood pressure if that's an issue, but I took DGL for years and it's deglycerrized (sp) and doesn't mess with BP.

Everyone's DHEA declines starting at about 30 or earlier.

Default prednisone

Thanks for the info. I will check out the grape seed extract and maybe I need to find another neurologist who will discuss these supplements with me because the medicine we have doesn't seem to be working anymore.
