Hi Erin,
I have endometriosis and have had laproscopic surgery to deal with it. I was pain free for about four years and it is only barely starting to come back now (the pain I have now is managable with over-the-counter meds - although i prefer stuff that isn't available in Scotland so I'm forever having my mom mail me stuff from Canada). I know you hate needles etc, but I had a great experience with the surgery and if it's an option for you I would go for it. I only have three tiny scars on my tummy (nothing compared to my stretch marks) - it was an easy day surgery and I had no issues with the anesthetic (by that time I knew I had MG and I had issues with anesthetic before so they watched me really carefully). Anyways, obviously you'll know what is right for you, but I wanted to share my experience in case it would help.

Hope everything is great and you had a good trip! Take care.

It gets so bad that when I had my son, it was a total cake walk by comparison......My OB/GYN found lots of scar tissue on my left ovary, but ruled out surgery to remove it due to the huge amt. - said it would prolly grow back worse and that a hysterectomy was really my only choice for being pain free - no way am I going under the knife again. I can live with it!

Hi Erin

one dr said it could be the cellcept, my neuro said "NO!!!!" so I guess not, but be aware that by taking immune suppresing drugs we MAY be more prone to certain cancers etc, so I was just being cautious, as I have several lumps that are a bit sore, but they are just benign angiolipoma's, phew. Thankfully needles and surgery don't worry me, dentists on the other hand leave me a blubbering mess.

My thymectomy scar is fine now ( i had it done in 2003) although occasionally it still "cracks" which just feels wierd, not sore.

I've got endometriosis to, I just had an ultrasound as my CA125 was elevated over 3 test. I have a cyst on my L ovary, and lots of enometrial deposits. I would love to have surgery to try and remove it all, even if it meant a hysterectomy, but the drs are not too happy about that, but its not them who every month lives on tablets and spends days in bed!?!?! Ahh well, it could be worse.

Hmmm 5 hours driving, I'm proud of you, I think I would have folded after just one!

YAY did I mention my neuro has organised a one day course of IVIG, so sometime in the next 2 weeks I'll have a bit more oomph.

hope you are feeling a bit better today
take care

Now something else to look forward to! Lumps! Dentists dont worry me @ all - in fact I can sleep thru root canals, but only cuz' I've had so many - 30 + to date - bad dentist - long story..............

I can't stand my endo, but the thought of going thru more surgery is just too scary right now! I've had it so long that I figure I can hang on a lbig longer - though if it gets worse, I guess I'll have the surgery done:(...........Just another day in paradise! LOL

Talk to you soon!
Erin

Hi Erin,

No you probably won't have to worry about lumps, as my neuro was quite sure it wasn't the cellcept, and he's had more to do with it than my GP.

How are you going??

THank goodness!

I was getting worried - I just don't want another thing to stress about - !

Things are pretty good here - I've been working a lot more. It has been great for the most part! Took my son to the doc today - nothing big - only a sinus infection, thank goodness!

I see my nuero 2morrow - hoping for a reduction in steroids! I'm also going for an eye exam next week - the pressure in my eyes went up 10 points and they are worried about glaucoma - so am I...........

How are you? What have you been up to? How are you feeling today?I've missed talking to you!

Take care!

I've been out at my big sisters babysitting her dogs, as her husband is away, and the ridgeback was just speyed, so she didn't want to leave her alone. So I had a great time, got to see my old mare, went bush walking and found some great wildflowers.

Today went to the dentist, and I need quite a few fillings, oh well.

Tomorrow will go to the optomotrist to get my eyes tested, then maybe go onto Bunbury, depending how I'm feelling, as I will be on my own. Plan to do a bit of shopping sort out the debarkal of my drivers licence, maybe look for some nice summer clothes, that I can fit into now I've put on 14kg(30pounds), but I am determined to lose it, cos I've got some nice clothes I want to wear.

I really hope you can reduce your steroids, what will they be reduced to??

take care

My doc reduced my steroids!

[COLOR="Red"][FONT="Times New Roman"][B]Hello! Today my nuero reduced my steroids to 15 mgs. daily! Yippee! I was so happy, I said "Come here, you" to my doc (with my arms open to hug him) - he was so embarrassed - turned beet red and just smiled! Yippee!!! I am soooooooo happy right now! I cannot wait to lose the weight again - though to be honest, as long as I feel good, I guess weight should be the last thing that I should worry about............I still worry about it though - none of my old clothes fit - depressing..........

My son went with me to my docs appts. - I was so proud! I kept telling everyone about my "baby" who is now 6'3" - 164 lbs. - too cute! He was so good for me, though the Cancer Care Center depressed and scared him. We're thinking about putting him in therapy, cuz' my illness really threw him for a loop -- he just doesn't know how to handle it, except to get angry - really angry. He wants to be tested for all autoimmune diseases now, and he hates needles as much as I do, if not more............

Sounds like you had a great day! I would love to see Australia - it looks so beautiful!

What are your steroids @ now?

Take care and let me know how tomorrow goes:D

Erin
