Default A surpising response

I've just gotten out of the hospital following a surgical j-tube placement...which was supposed to be a 1-d stay---turned into 1 week stay. I am now totally wiped, can't walk, can barely get out of bed...

I called my "new" neuro to get an opinion on what I should do (and reschedule an appoint for testing I had scheduled for Fri), and he was not at all surprised I crashed after what is considered a minor surgery...he said the "it sound's like you have MG". He said that it could take a week or 2 for the neuromusclular blocking agents used during surgery to washout.

This was just totally amazing to me..I went from being totally depressed that , once again I feel like crap and nobody has any idea what to or when/if things would improve, to being optimistic that once the drugs clear my system I should start felling better.

It is amazing how knowing the cause of the problem makes it so much easier to deal with...It still sucks though
