Default Pain with steroids?

I'm posting this on behalf of Vince who has been emailing me with questions about his wife Jackie's condition. She has been having pain with her MG. He just sent me the following email, which I am copying here to see if any of you have any good advice for them.
Any information gratefully received, we are not on the internet at home so I send emails on
my wife's behalf at work. She may be in contact in the near future through me, however, because
of restrictions at work I am not be able to go through neurotalk.
Please do not put yourself out, but I have another question on my wife's behalf. She recently started
taking steroids (very low dose of 5mg per day) in conjunction with her mestignon (3 per 60mg per day).
Two weeks in to taking them her pains increased incredibly. She feels like her muscles in her legs are
in constant tension, and suffers cramps and shooting pains. Her consultant thinks 5mg of steroid could
not cause this and is investigating other possibilities through blood tests. Against the consultants wishes
she has stopped taking the steroids - that was ten days ago, but the pains have continued. My wife has
always had an acute reaction to medication over the years.
Do you know anyone in your M.G.community who has has similar reactions to steroids?
If you do not reply I will take this as a no. But again any information would be gratefully received.

If anyone has any info, post it and I will email it back to Vince.
Hugs,

Vince emailed that Jackie was getting over the pain, and he was going to take several of the links and info to her neurologist and try to get her in with an MG specialist at Oxford.
Still, if anyone has any info for him, please post!
Hugs,
