Thumbs down Going for ANOTHER xray!

Hello all! Well, my back problems are back (no pun intended) with a vengeance!

I was lifting a bag of potatoes and threw my back out - what a joke! It would be funny if it weren't so sad.......

Needless to say I've been on my back with a lidocain patch and heating pad for the last couple of days - housebound - YUCK!

So I called my neuro and he wants me to have an xray this weekend - he will be out of town until Tues, but called on my cell this morning to make sure I am going in.....what a doll! Did I mention that I love that man?

Anyways, going in to make sure it isn't a compression fracture (my neuro is very worried about that) - not looking forward to it!

Wish me luck!
Erin

Erin,
You poor thing ... one thing after another for you. Your doctor does sound like a dream. Get plenty of rest and let that wonderful hubby take good care of you.
Take care ~ Mel

I am so sorry to hear that Erin. I hope you aren't in too much pain. Too bad you Mary don't live near each other...you could keep each other company while you both recoup from your backs. Good luck with the xray and let us know how you make out. I'll be thinking of you. Take care & rest.

Hugs,
Pat

Erin, you have been in pain with your back for so long, they better check that x ray twice, yours doesn't want to heal.
Pat what a great idea, I would love to have Erin around, what a hoot ! LOL.....

Thumbs up Don't worry about me!

Hello all! Don't worry about me - I'm a tough old bird! It's going to take something more than a few infections and bad back to really get me down!

It's all relative - when I start to feel sory for myself I just think of others and the struggles THEY are going through and it snaps me out of it - pronto!

I also have a true dream of a dr - b/4 he left town he called cell to cell to make sure I was taken care of......oh what a guy! I totally have a HUGE platonic crush on him - though I am happily married.......I guess it's just hero worship since he saved my life! LOL MY hubby loves him as much as I do! We just sit around telling Dr. I stories - I will be eternally grateful - does that sound too mushy?

My son is home now too! He was with my sis for 2 weeks! 2 weeks! In 17 yrs we haven't been apart that long! I hated that! The house was too clean and quiet! I must have almost smothered him with kisses and hugs and keep telling him how much I missed him and love him! Poor kid! He just wants to play video games and there I am!

Anyway, please don;t worry about me. i'm going to be just fine! This is just a little bump in the road..........@ least I'm stll around to experience it!

Big, big hugs!
Erin

Help Ouchee!

That's the spirit, Erin! Those bumps build character, right! Boy with all the bumps we've all experienced we must be the biggest bunch of characters around!

And don't let your son fool you. It ain't cool to show it, but he loves the sMother loves!

It's probably good you and Mary can't lay around together. You'd probably injur yourselves worse laughing at stuff!

Seriously, though, if that xray isn't conclusive, maybe you should ask for an MRI. This was too easy to injur again and could be a ruptured disc which won't show up on Xray. It may give a hint, but won't tell the whole story.

Hope you get feeling better soon, hon! SMOOCH!! and
