Default blood thinners

i went to a family event over w/e and saw someone who i hadn't in awhile. she's about 60 yrs old,no kids, hubby and a long list of medical issues. i don't know why or where she had stents in [to keep blood clots from traveling] was put on coumadin, aspirin and plavix. appartently had some problems with blindness here and there lasting 1 hr to a day from the blood thinner combo. earlier in spring she went to dentist and sat up and was then blind for 2 MONTHS. my problems seem so minor compared to hers but also question dr for continuing the combo with those side effects. my family calls me dr mom due to my past occupation and longstanding illnesses. she did ask dr repeatedly about the short term blindness [before 2 month time] but he said "don't worry" remember you are in charge of your body, the medical profession is a tool not the highest power-if you have concerns ,share them and question the answers until you are completely satisfied you have all the facts!!! have a great day!
