How do you interpret lab reports? There doesn't seem to be a frame of reference for the result.

Tried to post the link, but wasn't allowed.
Look at labtestonline - dot - org There are lots of other sites too if you do a web search. But be careful about trying to interpret the meaning of test results from web sites. Sometimes one thing can look out of range but is expainable by something else. And results can vary - by day, by lab, etc. Hope this helps - have a good day! Sue |

Thanks for the web address.
Here is what I have gathered from the website: My Achr antibody modulating test read 25%. The norm is 0-20 and a positive DX is 26% and over. 25% in indeterminate which is why they suggested followup in 6 months as well as the Neuroimmunology antibody followoup and the Achr muscle modulating antibody which evidently were both negative. So, I guess I am right on the verge of MG. Just 1% tips the scales in favor of MG. I suspect that the neuro will order new tests when I see him August. |
