I completely agree that you can have MG without the antibodies, especially if it affects the eyes only or is 'caught' early in the disease...

I didn't know about the Immunoglobulin subclasses, Annie...Thanks for the info.!

my ptosis was misdiagnosed for 2 years. it wasn't until further symptoms presented that it was recognized for what it is. a sharp g.p. cayght it and put 2+2 together. all 3 antibody tests are pos. and i show textbook declination on nerve conductivity. i remember reading about a form of antibody negative mg. i've read so much lately it mat take me a while to recall the source.
