Motorhead, I think the "new" treatment you are refering to is called "MONARSEN" or "EN 101".
You may find some info on it by looking on Google.
Maurice.

interesting. no connection (so far) between the two except origin in israel. evidently they are looking for likely test cases for monarsen stateside. it sounds promising.

Here you go, MH.

http://www.develogen.com/pressreleases/20050816.php

http://www.amarincorp.com/products/products.420.html

You guys have got to watch the video below! They say that EN101 can help those with "stress from a psychological condition" that interrupts the nerve to nerve transmission of acetylcholine. Interesting.

These drugs look promising but they are not yet available for MG patients.

thx annie. i watched that same vid earlier today. evidently they're looking for investors to take monarsen to the next level. shame they chose to do all the clinical trials so far overseas. with obamacare looming the drug companies may be reluctant to break new ground on something like this. this will be a direct replacement for mestinon. there was talk of a single daily dose.

ptr-262/debio-0513 seems to have died after gaining orphan status in europe. neither of the companies involved show it anywhere on their sites and my search has turned nothing newer than 2006. develogen and debio are not involved in any other joint projects. sux, this was supposed to be an alternative to steroids. my guess would be that no money was forthcoming for further development here. just my .02.
