OMG. -20 MIP? Don't they know that's very bad? The reason you were getting all "tingly" is that you weren't getting oxygen to your extremities. You better tell your neuro about all this crap so it doesn't happen again. If you were "expelling CO2" it's because you had a buildup of it because you can't breathe well. Wholly blank. Don't these guys understand that you were seriously bad?

Okay, first MGers look like they're hyperventilating on ABG's. But we're not.

Second, our O2 stats start to drop and our pulse goes higher (the heart is compensating for the lack of oxygen).

Third, our CO2 levels start to increase because we can't expel it.

By that time, we are in deep dodo. That's where you were at.

Get copies of all the tests they did. Did they do an ECG? A lack of oxygen is very hard on the heart. And brain. And kidneys. Maybe your doctors were suffering from a lack of oxygen because I don't know what they were using for brains.

If you have blood in your urine (gross or microscopic?), then your kidneys may be having problems. Eat some bananas, beans, avacados or some equally high potassium foods. And avacados and nut butters like cashew help keep blood glucose lower, as do beans.

PLEASE have someone redo those tests (chemistries) and really check you over. You may need to see your primary doc too to redo those plus the UA.

I have to stop writing now because my BP just spiked.

Hi Momma

I am so, so sorry for what you went through in the ER. It is incredibly horrible how you were treated, especially when you are suffering so bad!! I don't understand how supposed medical professionals can be so arrogant and jaded. I think they must just get burnt out and don't listen anymore and don't care. I really hope you go to your regular doctor or neuro (whoever listens best) and tell them about these tests and what was said (blood in urine, etc). All the things you said can be very serious and need to be dealt with. Maybe something else is going on that effects your potassium, causes blood in the urine and is possibly making the MG worse! Please don't let their ignorant indifference in the ER stop you from pursuing this until you get the answers.

I hope you have a better week ahead,

Carrie
The sad thing is if you went into crisis right now, & were admitted into the hospital, you would get your plasma right away, seems like when you are an out patient, & will save insurance money, they drag there feet, but happens over & over again, doesn't make sense to me. Do they really think it is going to go away or something?
Hope you get an ok soon!
Mary
