I have a cruddy eye glass addition to my health insurance.
They allow minimum, and one pair of glasses that they approve each year.
And they only pay a bit towards them.

But having MG, my eyeglasses are being purchased due to the effects of the disease, not so much I have a vision problem, but a neuro disease that needs to be treated.
If I broke a leg, the insurance company pays for cast and crutches, and physical therapy, so why dont I have an argument for them to pay for something that is directly related to a disease and not the everyday eye problems?
am I off base here? Has anyone recouped money spent on many pairs of glasses and prisms set and redone in glasses?
what Im trying to get at, is if I god forbid couldnt walk, they would pay for a wheelchair, since its the direct effect of a muscle disease, so why shouldnt eyewear be considered the same type of medical expense?
Its not like I dont have expert documentation of the disease I have.
