Sorry for the late reply:
1. The weakness was symmetrical and I'm not sure about his reflexes since I wasn't present for this doc visit. 2. Hospital didn't give a referral for Neurologist, instead said to see PCP and given Monday's holiday he wasn't able to get in until yesterday and he was referred. Neurologist is on Mon and his legs seem to be getting progressively better but motor function is staying the same. PCP called saying labs are a bit abnormal but it was not specified to me which ones. Guess I know now that any emergency comes up, if not a trauma, wait to see PCP or you leave with a BS diagnosis when a real problem is present. The neurologist will almost certainly do an EMG so i guess we'll just wait and see. Thank you for your concern, I'll post if something new comes up. |
