I have been having this issue with the involuntary swallowing reflex kicking in right before I go to bed or when I am waking up. I don't have excess saliva or any feeling of anything in my throat - it just kicks in automatically and makes me swallow.
Very weird. I just started a benzo and ssri a few weeks earlier. Any thoughts? I am also being worked up by a neuro for muscle twitching and spasms and constantly hard/cramped trapezius. EMG tomorrow. It has been a super scary time. |
