Default Friends

This forum on the old site was a good place to go when stressed, scared or hurting. I am disappointed that enough folks haven't posted that would make this more than a one post forum.

I know that Shirley is feeling terrible, that Stumps needs our thoughts and encouragement, that Cheryl is struggling. How many more of our friends need our thoughts?

And... if you can spare a thought for my daughters and myself, I would appreciate it. One is having a health problem that I am not allowed to discuss, the youngest is terrified of drs and has oral surgery next week, and I have an appointment with the OB/GYN tomorrow and a first apointment with the gastroenterologist. I am very nervous about this, and am tired of working and living in pain.

Best wishes for all,

You got it, mamafigure. My thoughts that everything turns out ok for all.

Give the forum time, people will come. Rome wasn't built in a day either.

Hi Mamma!
It's me, Alicia I found a way back!!!!!

We've been busy with the kids, but also myself.

Im finally going to see a physician who specialises in mito...hooray for me! Ive been doing ok, but getting more aggrevated with muscle weakness the last few months. Grrrrrrr. Life goes on, you laugh at your goofups and appreciate what you do have though, right? I have many good friends, and have missed everyone here tremendously.

Im so glad to hear of your finally getting somewhere with your disease. While it doenst change how your feeling, it DOES make it easier to accept there's something happening, doesnt it? Take care, and look forward to seeing more from the NM forum soon!

mama,

I always have time to think some good thoughts for you and your daughters.

If I didn't have crazy cats, I would light a candle for you as you have done for so many, but the cats would set themselves on fire , so I will think a good thought, wish a good wish, and send ((((((hugs))))) in your direction.

Liz

Best wishes to you and your girls, Kathy. I will be thinking of you. Do write or call when you get all your appointments done. I want to know how you all are.
I will light a candle.

I got back a bit ago, but have been too busy to post. The obogyn says that she will do a laparoscopy if the gastro person doesn't come up with anything.

One of my daughters and her new boyfriend are coming home this weekend, and my husband will be home, too, so I am looking forward to it. However, when I get out of here tonight (I'm at the library) I have a huge bucket of apples to turn into applesauce as well as a house to clean.

Yawn...I think that it is time for a nap...I can hardly keep my eyes open...

Love,

Hi, yesterday was a terrible day. My daughter who is disabled, had to go for a presurg appointment. We were told no blood tests; we were told wrong. She was so scared and she cried for a very long time.

I went to a new dr yesterday. I won't go into details, but she says that my problem is not GI related, but that it is most likely GYN. (The GYN has already said that it is not gyn related). This dr and my gp both think that adhesions are a good possibility and both are pushing for exploratory surgery. The only one who does not want to operate is the surgeon. I am researching to find a place that uses mesh, so as to prevent more adhesions.

Hospitals make me a basket case. I don't do shots, and am deathly afraid of IVs and any tubes.

Cry, cry, cry....

love ya'
Mama

Default oh Mama

mega (((hugs))) you sound so unhappy and depressed,

it is such a nuisance when Doctors don't agree with each other re a diagnosis but maybe the exploratory will be best, settle the matter once and for all for you.
now no more crying tonight please..ooops forgot I am possibly on a different time zone, will look back here in the morning UK time to see how you are feeling..
