Monday's surgery has been postponed because the anesthesiologist can't be there on that day. It is now scheduled for Tuesday, the 10th anniversary of the death of my son.
I somehow knew all along that this would happen. I am really glad that the anesthesiologist will be there. we had a long talk and she is willing to work with me. We also discovered that someone put down a drug that I am deathly allergic to as one that I take every day. It would likely have been prescribed for nausea. She also was concerned that I have no pain meds that I can go home on. Right now it looks like plain tylenol or ibuprofen, both of which are useless in my estimation. She saw how upset I was at the preop today and actually thought that I should wait, but it is too close to Christmas already. See if they can give you a script for the 800mg ibuprofen. It's different than over-the-counter. It actually works pretty good for post-surgery pain. I don't know what kind of surgery you're having on Tuesday. But, you've got a lot of blessings and prayers coming your way from all of us. And, it looks like your Angel Boy plans to keep you safe and protected. BIG HUGS (and blessings). Barb |

Moose,
Thanks. I like the way that you look at things. Mikey and I are still very close. Often when I am down one of his two songs will come on the radio, sometimes even in the middle of another song. I keep a candle in the window for him so that he can always find his way home. Love to all, mama |

Thanks for askin'bout her mamma~
what should have been a ten minute surgery, turned into a hour and fifteen minute. They went in to take out the internal stent, discovered the stone was partially blocking her bladder...and zapped the big stone to small pieces and discovered a "few" other ones in her kidney. Soooooo, now she has until tommorow, an external stent and may have to goback in as early as tommorow( this week for sure if they havent passed on their own) for a lithotripsy of her new stones, followed by a third stent. She's VERY mad at the world right now. I have to agree with her there....a 16 yr old shouldnt have stents! Never a dull nor boring moment in this house, eh? What's on your agenda, mamma for thanksgiving?! Any good recxipes to share wit us?!
