Heart Hey NeuroTalk!

My name is Julie and I am 28 years old. I have three children and have been diagnosed with Mild Cortical Atrophy in the Frontal Lobes. My neurologist keeps saying the headaches and forgetfulness are from stress and it will pass, but it has been over a year. I am wondering what information is out there.
Also my friend was just diagnosed with Syringomyelia and it is soooo hard to find things online about it. While researching I came across this website and hope to find not only helpful medical information, but support and gain knowledge and guidance through other peoples personal experiences.
Thank you
Julie

Hi Julie...

Welcome to NeuroTalk.

Since you are new, you don't know that we have options for
many styles of viewing. They are at the bottom left of the page.

Hint:
Some of those styles would be very hard to read your colored font. I use Spring, and I can barely see the words. You might want to consider a darker more neutral color. No one knows who is using what, so you may not get responses, if people have trouble reading your message.
Otherwise, feel free to enjoy the nice features we have here.

I would suggest you think about seeing another Neurologist. I would want to talk to someone that specializes in headaches. There are a couple of medications that are good for migraines or headaches.

hi julie. welcome to NT.
if you click on neurotalkcommunities you may find forums that are more specific to what you are looking for.

i 2nd the comment to get a 2nd opinion. some drs are too quick to chalk up women's complaints to stress and hormones. i'd consider another opinion from a dr that will really listen to your complaints and symptoms.

i hope you find what you need here.
