Question Colloid Crystal

Hi
I had my uncle of 57 age was suffering visual disturbances & a temporary short loss of control body balance from time to time . He went to doc and a CT shows “colloid crystal in the third ventricle” doctor (neurologist) wrote in the CT report (Attached). Doctor just recommends him to follow-up in 6 months with another CT to check for growth.
I have questions :
1- is the colloid cyst causing visual disturbances & a loss control
2- should he seek out a 2nd opinion or wait for the 6 months ?
3- how danger to remove such cyst?
4-what is recommended in such cases
5- where is the best hospital/doctors for such operation in the world?
6- is the crystal from time of born?

He is pretty nervous. After doing some research via the internet on these cysts I found similar case of member Crystal . What I want to know is what should he do. I would appreciate anyone's comments .
Look forward to getting responses.

Thanks,
Kalida

Welcome to NT

Your uncle is lucky to have you. Tell him hello for me.

I don't know a lot about aneurysms. It sounds pretty scary. There are others here who are looking for answers about CT scans with those findings.

There's lots of info here. I'll give you a link to General Health Conditions and Rare Conditions to start with.

http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/forum2.html

Here is the aneurysm link: http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/forum7.html

Just ask if you need more info. Someone may have just the right answer you seek.

Hello and welcome to NT!

A second opinion is never a bad idea. Given all your questions, it's clear that the first neurologist didn't explain the situation to your satisfaction.

You're doing the right thing in researching your relative's condition. You need to know what questions to ask and to push for answers. Sadly, doctors often seem to forget that they work for us.

Good Luck
