Hello dear all...

Im not new here... Im blessed to have found you nearly a year ago... But didnt know where was the best place to post this as I think lots of you here can share your thoughts with me about this...

My concern now is... how do you cope, deal and survive with a progressive condition/illness ???

I cant... that was I think really makes me sick.... even more than the illness itself... that fear of the future... what is tomorrow I cant... Do you know that feeling ??

Im worried all the time... Im sad all the time... I just cant stop thinking about my future... Im full of fear...

What do you do ??

Thank you in advance !

Please move this thread to the more convenient place if necessary !

Blue Mayo
You can talk about all these things with us in Bi-polar for one. It goes
along with lots of the things that happen daily.

Most just need to live daily, day by day. Sometimes they need a therapist
or good friend to talk to.

I know that for me its just coming to the community and talking.

Let me know if you need more talking.

Donna

Hi Blue, I didn't think I would meet you here.
If you have a look at my blog (the link is at the bottom of the post), I have written on that subject several times.
If you need to know any more PM me.

I hope you enjoy reading it when you can.

hi blue,

i may be able to give you a few tips as this is what i've done in my life.
i don't think that much into the future. i try to take things one day at a time.

worry just makes you give up your personal power. it drains you and doesn't really change anything. now planning ahead is a better way to think about things.

i have MS and i got dx'd with breast CA last yr. i did what i had to do tx wise but when it was over i considered myself cured. i don't worry. i may think about CA but i have a mental plan if anything happens.

i hope this makes sense. for instance i live alone. i'm not afraid. if i needed to i could get one of those button devices for emergency aid. so, having a plan buts my mind at ease.

it also may help you to journal, even get some counseling to help with your worries and thoughts.

hope this helps a bit. when you make a plan of action you get your power back.
