Default Hello everyone

I'd like to introduce myself and thank you all in advance for your guidance, support and knowledge. I am 52 year old woman who has a wonderful life with my husband and two adult children. All is well except for the horrible lower back pain that I have been living with for the last 8-10 years. I was diagnosed with sacroiliac joint syndrome. I have had 9 sets of injections to supposedly relieve the pain, but none have been successful. A couple days ago I had a rhizotomy but still have horrible pain. I am wondering if anyone has had this procedure and how long before I can expect to feel relief. Thanks again!

Welcome

Back pain is miserable pain.

Keep trying things. I've tried therapy, Theracane, yoga, LED and infrared lights (helped tremendously), epidurals X3 for my neck that gave me great relief for my back, posture strengthening, balls, stretches (they help), stopped smoking (that was a win-win), inhale as much water as I can, drink less coffee and Pepsi (that's a hard one), muscle relaxers, Darvon 65, Lidoderm patches (they helped tremendously), ThermaCare back wraps from Wal-Mart, PT for years, Estim, alternate heat and ice therapy (heating pads causes swelling on a microscopic basis - ice decreases swelling - swelling causes more pain), Advil Liquigels....

Just some ideas to consider. You can ask specifics about any of the above if you want to.

Hope you get some relief.
