Question So many issues and so frustrated

I was diagnosed with Grave's disease two years ago. 8 months ago i was diagnosed with major depression and a severe anxiety disorder. Two months later, i was diagnosed with Fibromyalsia and they found that i have several diseased cervical disc that are now herniated. I am 33. I have always been active, social, a free spirited person. I am having a very difficult time accepting any of this, let alone all so much in a short period of time. So many doctors, so many test, so many medications, and the worst is so many cure-all suggestions that i feel more confused than ever about everything. I am struggling to stay positive. So i finally figured out that i can't do this all on my own without support. I am glad that there are forums and people to discuss my concerns with me.

Just wanted to say hi, and welcome to the community. This is a good place, there's almost always somebody home, and you'll find plenty of support and advice...not just on the forums that relate directly to your diagnoses. Browse, explore, get to know the place. We're in different cabins sometimes, but we're all in the same boat!

Hello and welcome to NT!

I hear what you're saying. I was an athletic, social, busy person - then a drunk driver changed all that in a split second. Like you, I suddenly had multiple health issues and found my life dominated by doctors and therapists and appointments. It truly is overwhelming and confussing.

However, you're doing better than most. You've realized early on that it's an issue of acceptance and adaptation. More importantly, you've had the wisdom and strength to reach out for support. I promise you that you will find that here.

Before NT I felt so alone. Now I'm part of a community of people who really understand what I'm going through. I can't tell you how much I've benefited from their experience, compassion, wisdom and wit. You will, too!

Cheers

Welcome to NT

I'm with Hocky. This is a wonderful place to share so others can benefit. I guess it's the only good thing about having experience in a bad way, to share so others my not suffer so much, or so someone will know they're not alone on their journey.

We're here for you.
