Default I'm sorry :(

I have been reading so many threads from new people who have neurological disorders that I cannot respond to all of them. pages of them since my last visit.

All I can say is that I feel so sorry everyone has to go through with what they are going through.

I have my B12 deficiency damage which is mending slowly as I finally know what it was causing my MS type symptoms.

I wish all of you the best so much I cannot type how much so, I am incapable.

My heart goes out to all of you.

This forum helped me immensely by the way. Most of my neuro symptoms are either gone or slight enough as to not be a daily issue anymore. That isn;t to say I am healed but not having numb tingling feet anymore and they feel tickles again is a nice feeling. I have my muscle strength back in them and I can balance on one foot now ... you don't realize how special a little thing like that is until you lose it. My face isn't numb and tingling anymore either. It has taken a long time as nerves heal so slowly and there is permanent damage but knowing what it is is most of the battle it seems so you can attack the thing.

I hope you all find what you need to about YOUR problems. I hope others in here help you like they have helped me, read around these forums and read some more.

Somebody here has what YOU have and can help you.

Hi there.

I've corresponded with you before on another thread.

When I read about how you can balance yourself, I had a thought. Last week I purchased a balance board (aka wobble board) for the grand sum of $12.00 over the internet.

Every day, I get on it and the goal is to do simple exercises that improve one's balance. I have absolutely no problem doing this on this board. My balance is good. I tried doing it on one foot. Couldn't do it the first time. I did it yesterday. I have practiced this a few times a day.

We practice all things in our life but no one practices balancing. And it's important as one grows older to practice balancing, so we don't fall.

I have no idea how old you are, but check into wobble boards, balance boards, WHATEVER THEY ARE CALLED.

I went to youtube, typed in balance boards, and that's how I learned to use the one I got. There are MANY videos up on youtube on this subject.

Best of luck

Melody

So glad you're improving Megatrends. I enjoyed reading your posts. I too have gained so much from this board. It has been good therapy.

Through vestibular rehab, I learned to focus on something fixed when balancing. It helps.

Also my twist board and long dressing mirror at the side of my workstation has helped me tremendously. Posture and core strengthening is a must for me. I'm more able now to address these issues and will.

It's the first day of spring, so enjoy the Vit D.

Default For balance workout? Try these....

http://www.nefitco.com/balancedisc2pack.html
For that price, start out holding ON to something...and go from there. You start out very wobblely at first? But they DO give you a work out! And you will KNOW it. Start at 30 seconds and work up to minutes.
This web site is chock full of PT goodies, tho some you can find on-sale cheaper at times at the box stores... Take a look and try and compare. Worth the efforts and results! - Hope and heart - j
