Help Staying in hotel with my ESA who is frequently called a Pit

Hi, I'm new here. Next summer I will be going to a national Taekwondo comp and I may need to take my ESA kid for the trip to go smoothly. I went last summer w/o him and it did not go well. I panic in new places and he keeps me calm by actively interrupting my panic attacks. He is not a Service dog, but I know he can fly with me. Is there any info out there about staying in hotels with an Emotional support dog? Or them going places when visiting another city? He's 50#, has his CGC, and have kept up on his training. At home he is not a service dog, but when I am in a strange environment I need him with me to function. Any thoughts or suggestions? My other issue is he could be called a "pitbull" type dog.

Thank You for your help

Default Hello PittieESA

I saw your post and just wanted to stop by and send you a

You've happened upon a wonderful forum packed FULL of caring, supportive folks!

I remember reading somewhere around here about service dogs! I'm sure someone will be along shortly who can point you directly to your issue.....
in the meantime, feel free to browse down the main menu and peek in wherever you see fit. I do know there is a forum specific to discussion on 'Pets'.... We LOVE our pets!

Also, you can use the 'search' feature at the top of the page.
Perhaps typing in 'service dog' will bring up posts and discussions for you to check out!

Best of Luck to you!
Rae

Hi,and welcome to NT! This is such a great place, and we're so glad you found us!

I have a service dog, a black Lab named Montana, who is certified and goes everywhere with me.

I believe someone pointed you to the service dog forum. Hopefully you can get your questions answered there.
