Default Hello to All!

Just found this site today (by Googling "Savella")! Thought it would be a good idea to join.

I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and CFS in 1997, when I was in my late 40s, although I think I had it at least 7 or 8 years before that.

I've gone through all the tricyclic antidepressants; each eventually stopped working for me. In 2007, I was referred to a Fibromyalgia study for milnaciprin ("Savella"), and was accepted into the study. I've been on the drug since 04/2007, with good results. Cuts the pain a good amount, but it *really* cuts the FibroFog! (FibroFog was the worst aspect of the disease for me, since I live in my head.)

Savella's now FDA-approved and available at pharmacies in the U.S. I called my insurance today, and they are going to cover it, with a co-pay of $40.00, which is not as bad as I expected.

Greetings to everyone! *****

Smile Hello SkyEyes !

Welcome to NT! I see you've found the forums pertaining to Fibro and CFS...

You will find much support here!
I typed in "Savella" in the 'search' feature at the top of the page and a whole BUNCH of posts popped up! You can read through those and probably get a lot of good information while you wait for replied to your threads.

Good Luck!
Rae
