Default Greetings to NeuroTalk!

What a find this community is!

Since 1998 I have struggled with all sorts of psychiatric and orthopedic issues. Often I've felt so isolated, with no one to talk to who has experienced some of the things I have.

Well...I will no longer be in the dark! I've signed up for half a dozen communities that relate to my current health. I look forward to seeing how others handle situations similar to mine, asking for advice and sharing my experiences when relevant.

My biggest project going on is training a Psychiatric Service Dog (PSD) for myself. Polar is a 5 year old Pomeranian. Since August of 2009 I trained her on my own, and in March 2010 hired a dog trainer with a 30 year background in training seeing eye dogs and therapy dogs. I began after 18 months of research on PSD and am very glad I pursued this path. The benefits are already being reaped as I venture out more than I have in several years.

I look forward to meeting new friends and learning more about myself, my options and being suppportive when I can.

Dawn & Polar
