Default Welcome, and glad you found us?

I'd just signed on to respond to you and Rae Beat Me to IT! Yeah Rae!
At the top of both the PN [short for 'Peripheral Neuropathy'] forum and the Spinal forum are info sites called 'STICKIES'. These are things to KEEP! Read both to see which fits you more, but I'm guessing you have neuropathy due to spinal issues? Then, read both!
And, yes! I always schedule my neuro appts in the AM around 10-11, as things can back up and a GOOD neuro will take time with you and hear you out! But, understand that the folks after you have to wait more because of you, so come in w/a medical history [I update mine every month!] and a note pad w/4-5 of the 50 'burning questions' I want answered or addressed. You'll be lucky if you come out with 2? But that's TWO off the 'list'!
Be honest with yourself and your neuro! Do not expect to go in and get prescribed a supply of $$$$rich meds that turn you either a zombie or suicidal. That can and does happen. Go seek out other 'opinions' IF a doc blatently says: I can cure you! With soo many types of neuropathies? It simply doesn't happen! Those who are 'healed' are few and far between, but docs-too? Grasp onto that HOPE as do we. I wish more were 'healed'! I truly do, but feeling better isn't bad, either!
What WE can do for ourselves is to live right, exercise and eat right and recognize that we mite be lacking in some or many supplements due either to the meds or the conditions themselves.
Take your time learning the medical 'lingo' it's worse than learning a new language? You'll become more adept about IT in time, trust me on that.
Lastly? YOU KNOW SOMETHING IS WRONG. YOU DON'T know what IT is! So, get revenge on IT and research those 'stickies' and beyond and go and beat the pain and hopefully the problem!
's!!!! - j
