Exclamation has anyone tried methyl-B12 shots for brain damage

Hi,
I have a 6 yrs old who had birth injury and as a result brain damage. He had very poor prognosis but by god's grace has done better than expected .he has overall developmetal delays but the most impacted area is expressive speech, have been trying to find alternative theapies.found HBOT and methyl-b12 therapy online , which is generally used for kids with autism. I am really confused because have no info if they could help a kid with brain damage. Also am worried about the side effects if any of either of these two therapies. If anyone has had any experience with either of these therapies please help.my son is not cognitively so delayed but his expressive speech is holding him back.I am new to this group, appreciate any info.

Hi, and Welcome to NeuroTalk.

I saw a program on Discovery a few years ago..maybe 3 yrs, that featured a little boy about 3-4 who had a brain injury from a car accident. After over a year he had not progressed and could not talk. His Dad did the HBOT for him, (and had to go in with him into the chamber because he was so young). I forgot how many treatments he had, but I think it was many. (over 10 or more) and he did get better and regained speech.

Here is a list of DAN doctors. There maybe one you could consult.

http://www.healing-arts.org/children/amyholmes.htm

I have read over the years about methylcobalamin Injection being used for chelating mercury in Autistic children where vaccines with mercury were suspected of being the causative agent. These are usually specially compounded typically at compounding pharmacies.
