Hi, I don't have an answer for you, but hopefully someone will be along soon who can help! I'm not sure where you're looking for medical treatment--in Pakistan? Or somewhere else? Hope things improve for your brother.

Hi nomee,
Welcome to NT. Could you tell us where you would like to go for treatment? Do you plan to fly to a doctor with your brother or have treatment in Pakistan?

This NT forum area talks about pain in the neck area. Maybe post over there to ask some questions to get help for your brother. Good luck. Nice to meet you.

Hi Nomee ~

If he can't get to a doctor right now, I can tell you something to HELP ease the pain. Can he get a "cervical" collar??? It's a padded collar that is just for necks. If he can, have him wear that for awhile. If he can't, have him put ice around the painful spot for 20 minutes, every 2 hours. It should help reduce the swelling, and numb the pain. Have him keep doing this every 2 hours. It really should really help.

Other than seeing a doctor, I don't know of anything else to tell you. Take care of yourselves! Hugs, Lee

Has he gotten any MRIs and Xrays to check for serious spinal/bone/disk problems?

Maybe a chiropractor? or Osteopathic dr ?

If it is a muscle based pain and not a vertebra or disk problem, physical therapy and some expert chiropractic should be helpful.

It is hard to suggest things without more information.

when did pain start?
What may have caused the pain?
info from MRI or Xrays?

There are lots of suggestions for neck pain.

What is his disease or diagnosis?

How long has he had it?

Has he had any diagnostic testing, like x-rays, MRI?

Anything you try, understand it may be a postive or a negative. I could usually tell whether something was going to help or not pretty quickly. 99% of the time I stuck with the program or plan.

Sometimes neck pain isn't easy to treat, so don't feel too bad. We sometmes have trouble getting help too, or fixed.
