Default Neck stiffness, tight shoulder and back muscles

I am getting very frustrated with being in so much pain. I have been in pain (some days better than others) for about a month and half now. Have not been able to exercise or do much at all. I have been doing gentle stretches and taking motrin and tylenol. I am seeing an ortho dr. right now that has taken x-rays and they are fine. Has taken blood work, which haven't hear back from yet. My neck and back are really stiff every morning that I wake up. Today my shoulder muscles and back muscles along the spine, are constantly in spasms. Has anyone experienced this and if so, what did you do? I can use all the help I can get. Thank you.
