Smile 8 year old can't make a complete fist in both hands

Hi! My name is Anna and I have a 8 yr old that was been diagnosed with JRA about a year ago. Well a month ago they retested and said he has no inflammation there for no possible JRA. Now during the year of having been on steriods and possibly having JRA he hasnt been able to make a fist in both hands and has curving in both hands. Does anyone have or heard of this? Please any type of information would help.. We still don't know what he has.
