Default Hi and Brain Stimulation Therapy

Hi Everyone,

In my family, we're dealing with Alzheimer's, Asperger's, ADD and tinnitis. Let me know when you find the cures! Seriously, though... I recently heard on National Public Radio a story about brain stimulation for depression and possibly for other neurological conditions. It sounded as if the treatment is currently available only in Canada. Does anyone know any more about this or has had experience with it?

Thanks!

HI DAnton,

I just wanted to welcome you to NT.

Sorry, I haven't heard about the brain stimulation but it sounds very interesting. I have fought depression for many years. I am currently on two meds for it.
Anyways, Welcome and hope that you find the answers you are looking for. If nothing else, you will get lot's of support here.
Good Luck,
Hugs,
Boopers

Hi DAnton and to NeuroTalk

I dont know if you are referring to DBS (deep brain stimulation) but that is being done here in the USA
There was a bit in the news a few months back about a man who had it to help with his very severe Tourette Syndrome

here is some more about the DBS from the Cleveland Clinic
