Smile introduction

folks can call me the Woondog. I am 72, still working as a paralegal,
enjoy languages, piano, opera and musical show as a participant (actor)
I am married for 43 years and our son lives in Ithaca New York
I hail from Brooklyn, lived in the Far East and Europe for ten years
and in the Bay Area, California for the past 34 years.
I developed diabetes from being overweight 30 years ago, and
soon afterwards, peripheral diabetes. For my years, I suffered horribly
with lightening strikes of pain coming about every 20 seconds for
days. Just recently, my doctor prescribed dilaudid and nortryptilene
and that has been the wonder drug for me but for about 10% of the time, I still have it. Last night, I ate 8 cashew nuts (a no no) and got the pain back
which has persisted from 11pm last night to the time of this writing
a day later, 11 am. So, I have to worry not only about carb/sugar
intake but also from foods that trigger the pn regardless of blood sugar.
For me, that's peanuts, cashews and alcohol.
