I was involved in a car accident Oct 2008, initially treated whiplash with aggressive PT, had acute and then post-traumatic stress disorder which I treated with psychologist. Diagnosed January 2009 with post-concussive syndrome and sent to neurologist. Medication did not relief much pain and behavior became such that I came off Neurontin. Tried accupuncture, but made my pain worse.

First true relief came April/May 2009 when seen by a second neurologist. Put on various medications, increasing dosage as time went on. Seen by neuropsychologist and neuro optomitrist, had vestibular and cognitive therapy. Referred to pain management dr and have been receiving Botox injection therapy every 3 months to treat cervical dystonia--and told I would probably need for lifetime.

Neurologist treating occipital neuralgia, chronic daily headaches, post-traumatic migraines and cervical dystonia with medications: Lyrica, Pamelor, Flexeril, Soma, Naproxen, Imitrex as needed, Vicadin or Percocet as needed for pain. Seeing chiropractor tomorrow who treats cervical injuries -- just for consultation.

I lead an extremely active lifestyle, but my life has changed. Any alternative suggestions for treatment, options, etc. would be greatly appreciated.
