Default My story in a nut shell

Hello Everyone! How do I make a long story short. I have been a nurse for years. I fell while at work. Almost a year ago I tore a ligament in my left hand/wrist. I now have bilateral RSD/CRPS. I have suffered pain for almost one year. Last month the palm of my left hand peeled off. The pain has traveled from my left hand/wrist/FA to my right wrist/hand to my face and now I am concerned it's in my ankles. I am on Neuronton 1800mg per day. I have had two SGBs(Nerve Blocks). My PM states they were too late. I would like to know if a SCS( spinal cord stimulator) would be a good choice and does anyone know of a good Stanford MD who specializes in CRPS?

Smile Hello Screwed!

I'm so sorry of what you are going through!
You've found a fantastic forum though and many caring people who are going thru similar battles here will embrace you and give great input....

We have an RSD forum full of wonderful folks, here's the link to get you there:

http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/forum21.html

ALSO there is a forum specific to SCS/Pain Pump discussion. It's getting pretty active these days, as many patients are getting these implants.
You'll get a full spectrum of great feedback.
Feel free to start a thread and folks will jump aboard giving great support!

Here's the SCS link:

I've had mine in for 5 months and love it!
Hope to see you over there!

Hello Screwed,
I have not heard of the type of condtions you are writting about, found it very interesting as I may have something similar. My problem started after having a boil lanced in the hospital. It was on the right side, when I complained to the doctor who did it she said it was impossible to have deferred pain on the opposite side as the nerves run up and down and not across. Thanks for your info. Lucylou
