Default There is no gain without pain....please introduce me to whoever coined that phrase

DOWTONg........A driven person, relatively successful until a nervous system collapse in 1990 while in a migraine prophylaxis study. Had surely set myself up for such as the brain will attempt in one way or another, to save itself. Seems that it did a little more than perhaps it wanted as it brought in a host of 'we will make sure that this does not happen again' friends. The mind is what the brain does. So, I am quite glad to have found this site, for as smart as I may think that I am sometimes...I can be reduced to a crying child all balled up in a corner of my bed..very often. I will be a good listener and anything that I might say should be taken with a note of caution as I am not an expert in anything. HELLO..DOWTONg

Default Good To Meet You!

Hello DOWTONg!
You certainly are in the right place! Welcome!
You'll find that you are among many who can speak the language you did in your post -

I'm sorry you suffer the severe headaches to boot.
Pain is the common bond that brings us all together and we are constantly learning and growing from one another.

It'll be good getting to know you!
Ask if you need help in finding your way around the forums. There's plenty here to keep a person busy.
Jump in anywhere you feel inclinded

Caring
Rae

Default Pain is a common bond of humanity

I have seen and experienced a fair amount of the World in different times under a variety of conditions. Perhaps almost story bookish. But, I must admit that coming upon such a group of people, those who so kindly put out a verbal welcome mat and those whose stories I have been reading, well, just to say simply...many, many thanks. I have not come upon such a diverse, interesting, caring group of people in a very long time. I thank you all. DOWTONg

Welcome DOWTONg (interesting name there)

Yes, we are unique. You're part of our family here too.

Make yourself at home and just search your heart out. There's soooo much to read and explore.

See ya around the board.
