Default New Member with HSP and RLS

Hi,
I wanted to say that I am happy to find a neurological support group. I have a rare spinal cord disorder called Hereditary Spastic Parapalegia, or HSP as it is listed with the research community. It affects my legs, being very spastic and weak. I am wheelchair bound and also incontinent. I also have RLS and am very frustrated because I have just tried Requip and it made me sick. Worked wonderfully but can't go with sleeping and then being sick. I use to take Mirapex and that worked quite well. Changed my insurance as I am no longer working and on Social Security Disablity, thus on Medicare. My new program does not supply Mirapex so my Neurologist subscribed Pergolide, which does not work as well as the Mirapex. It is about to drive me nuts . If anyone can advise what has helped them, I would certainly appreciate that.
Thanks,
Lois
