Cool Newbie saying hi- as a professional and a parent

Hi- My name is Christine, and I am a homecare physical therapist, and used to work with babies birth to 3. So, I have tons of neuro experience in my field. I am now dealing with personal issues, regarding our oldest- she will be 12 in January, and just had xrays, diagnosing a t-4 to l-5 7 degree scoliotic curve. ALSO, spina bifida occulta at l-6 (yes, I said L6) and S1- and and extra Lumbar vertebra. on xray the occulta looks like a non fused spinal process. We see the pediatric orthopedist tomorrow, and I am 100 percent sure that we will have to have an MRI.
I remember working with a family, years ago, where the son had spina bifida, and the mom had scoliosis- later to find out she had spina bifida occulta with tethered cord. She had surgery, and did very well, and her scoliosis corrected itself, once she had the surgery for the tethered cord.
So, I am looking for information, and others who are facing the same issues, or similar-

hi PT and welcome to NT,

i don't have any experience with what you're describing but wanted to say hello anyway.

i hope your dd gets all the help she needs and it all works out perfectly.
i'm sure there must be a forum here for spinal issues. those folks will be able to offer more info i'm sure.
