Default Newbie Needs HELP

L4/L5 Fusion on April 15, 2010. Previously had 2 discectomies that failed. Prior to that had 3 Caudal Injections that Failed. Have done the PT, waste of time for me. Constant Pain, even though I take all those meds. I have done everything my neurosurgeon has asked of me, so I am frustrated, in pain, depressed....and basically turning into a basket case!!
I take 13 pills a day at the moment, but have been prescribed many things I probably shouldn't have been. Next Neurosurgeon appointment is November 12 2010. He is talking about a Spinal Cord Stimulator, however recently have read about pain pumps.

Please Help the Newbie. What are your opinions and WHY?

SPINAL CORD STIMULATOR------OR------PAIN PUMP?

First wanted to say welcome to Neuro Talk!!

I have had three fusion...two years since the last one. I have never used a Spinal Cord Stimulator...don't know their success rate. I do know that I would be looking in any direction I could to be out of pain if needs be. I still have pain however I'm able to manage it pretty well most of the time.

We do have a Forum for Spinal Disorders & Back Pain...the link is below. Hope all goes well...let me know how things go....
