Default New to Forum and MS

Hi my name is Sheila,

I was diagnosed in Oct, 09 but had symptoms since early 08, at least symptoms that sent me to see my Dr. Does the balance and stumbling ever get better? I can't wear heels or run. When I attempt to take my dog for a walk, she actually walks me. I am on rebif even though I hate needles. I tried Nuvigil for fatigue but that didn't work. I can't remember the last time I had a good night's sleep. Does anyone belong to a NMSS support group? I have thought about trying one.

Hi Sheila and welcome to NeuroTalk! I took the liberty of copying your post to our MS forum, too. I thought you might get more welcomes from our MS members there. Here is a link to your post in that forum: http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/thread137380.html.

Welcome...to Neuro Talk!! My hubby was diagnose with MS in 1986. I understand about the dog walking you...we have a Pitt and she will play tug of war with my Olhipie and pull him out of his wheel-chair...

We used to have a support group here in our city but they closed doors because of lack of interest...we can drive to one...highly recommend going. Yes, you will meet folks from walking to wheel-chair, however you will forge some of the greatest friendships....take care!
