Default Glad I found this forum

I stumbled upon this forum and hope to get some advice and help. I will be 63 in January and am female. My pain started in lower abdomen. It felt like stabbing and tingling pain. At first, I thought it could be related to hysterectomy I had 9 years ago as the pain was along incision line. My GP and Ob-Gyn said "no" not after that many years.

Any way, I am diagnosed with peripheral neuritis. The pain has spread around. It has affected my abdomen to such a degree that it hurts to sit. It also hurts to wear pants. Traveling in car is a big problem as it hurts to wear seat belt. My abdomen sometimes feels like there is a big belt constricting it.

I am now wondering if I could also have fibromyalgia in addition to peripheral neuritis. I have sore spots in my arms and around my ribs. This pain travels around as sometimes my hips and legs have sore spots.

I am on 900 mg of gabapentin per day which helps to a certain degree.

Oddly enough, a lot of the pain goes away at night when I am laying down. I get about one to two hours in morning before pain kicks in.

I have been to numerous doctors and had numerous tests like xray, cat scan, sonogram of abdomen. The only organic thing that showed up was gall stones.
