Default Hello

Hi,
I am new here and would like to say hi.
Does anyone else here have Tarlov cysts?
I have two in the sacrospinal canal and believe they are causing me a great deal of pain aside from what the dr. Says.
I also have a 5 x 7mm disc protrusion at T11-12, and really bad lumbar pain and stiffness. The docs do not think any of this is causing my pain. I have several minor bulges, dessication,sciatica/radiculopathy.
One epidural ink at la made pain worse, along with most treatments, pt, craniosacral...
any ideas out there?
thanks,
Chris

Thumbs up Hey there, Chris! Glad you're here.

You sound pretty frustrated, and why not? You've got all these medical conditions on the one hand & then on the other you've got all this pain....but--have I got this right?--your docs don't see any connection?

Darlene's given you good links. Post again there, also look through the threads & get in on any of those that seem to relate. Ask questions, start your own thread. Keep coming back.

And don't forget to let us know how you're doing. How you feel about what you're doing/not doing is important too. We're here for you about that as well, if you find yourself at your wit's end. We've all been there & lived to see another dawn.

Hi and thanks for the replies. I had a chance to check out the first link and will look at the 2nd one next.
I am pretty frustrated with this whole thing, had pain so bad since April, and been out of work since then....workers comp denied the claims so I had to find a lawyer to help. I wonder if the docs wont help me too much because I have a pending workers comp hearing????? Would they treat me any different if my injury occurred at home?? If I was a man??
I just don't know. Praying for healing, all mental and emotional and physical healing. And a doctor who will help me.
The neurosugeon I saw this week said my discs look good, even tho i have numerous bulging ones and a straightenin of the the lumbar lardosis.
I suffer a lot. Some times I dont suffer but still have pain.
I am on Neurontin, codeine 3 and 4. A few stronger meds that help better make me have really bad side effects. I have a few flexeril and skelaxin pills I take intermittently.
If anyone has read this far, thank you and healing and blessings to you.

Exclamation Glad you're on the Forums, Chris!

You're more likely to get relevant info from the forums than here, Chris, so I'm really glad you're on 'em.
As to Workmens' Comp claims, I hear they change everything but don't know exactly what that means. I know they often take longer to settle. I think generally it means that all kinds of legal issues are involved as well as medical ones. Not sure about gender, but historically women have been shortchanged in the workplace. In this case? Don't know.
I have severe headaches, also statin-induced muscle & joint pain that wakes me after 1 to 1.5 hrs when I sleep. Skelaxin with alternating wet heat & ice brings some relief. Messy, but worth the mess.
Prayers, positive thoughts, (((HUGS))). Stop by any time, we'll always be happy to give you a fill-up .
