Default Neuropathy, brain fog, upper respiratory congestion

Hi All,

One year ago we had a leak in the upstairs bathroom that ran down the interior walls into our garage. We had it repaired and also had it remediated. I thought my problem was over.

Back in July I began to get a pain in the bottom of my right foot, which progressed to numbness in both feet and legs. It has since spread throughout the entire body traveling at times. I’ve also suffered from an upper respiratory problem with an excessive amount of phlegm which I cannot get rid of. On top of that my cognitive abilities seem impaired especially short term memory.

In August I had a complete physical and the Doctor could not find anything wrong with me. I had a heavy metal hair analysis and there was nothing alarming found. A little elevation in lead and arsenic but nothing that was serious. My profession is a fine artist working in oils, so I thought perhaps it was the paints and solvents that I work with.

I’ve been detoxing for three months. Sometimes I feel better with regards to the neuropathy, however the respiratory problems and the cognitive impairment is constant.

The icing on the cake is that my girlfriend came over this am complaining of the same numbness in her arms and feeling lousy in general. After spending the weekend with me. She has stayed with me every weekend for the last three months there about. This has me feeling as though it could be toxic mold causing these symptoms. From what I’ve read all the symptoms are pointing in that direction.

In researching online I came across this site and an old post by "Andiamo". I dont see her listed anymore but she had neuropathy and said she discovered it was in fact caused by the mold. If theres anyway a moderator could give me her email address or contact her on my behalf that would be great.
Anyone else that could shed light on their similar situation would be greatly appricated.

Thanks very much and have a Blessed Day!

Welcome to NeuroTalk...

I am sorry we do not give out personal information on our members to anyone.

But you can Google "toxic mold neuropathy" as a keyword string and find many discussions and sites that explain it.

If you suspect toxic black mold, you should get your home inspected ASAP.
