I just found this site. I was just diagnosed with early RSD and I'm afraid that I don't understand it. I was hoping that someone would know a bit more about the disease. How fast does it progress, etc? I have always been an active person and from what I have read there is no cure and I want to stay active. Is there any options out there? I fractured my ankle 5 months ago and have only been out of the boot for 2 1/2 weeks. I find walking or stand for any length of time to be quite painful. HELP

Hi out there! Just wanted to welcome you to the community. Here is the link for the RSD forum, but feel free to look around, introduce yourself, etc.:
http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/forum21.html

It's a little slow here this afternoon for some reason, but you'll meet some great people and get lots of support!

Smile Welcome Sandikeele....

Welcome to NT.....
This is a wonderful place for support and to become more familiar with your diagnosis
The RSD forum is full of wonderful caring people and they will embrace your situation and give great feedback.

I would introduce myself there if I were you and you'll get support from those who are very familiar with what it's like to live with RSD.....
Meanwhile, there is much info to be had at the other forums here also,...everything from medications, health supplements, to mental/coping support.
This is such a great place.

It's so good to have you here
Caring
Rae
