Default chiari symptoms return 3 yrs post-op

Hi, I am a 33 yo woman and had decompression surgery with C1, C2 laminectomies almost exactly 3 years ago for a 12-15 herniation from Chiari I. I have recently begun to experience symptoms again and I'm worried. I wonder if anyone can shed any light? I am having a hard time finding info online about reoccuring symptoms after surgery. thanks

Default Son had decompression

My son had a 22mm chiari malformation and had decompression surgery in Mar 09. He was only 6. This am he woke up saying his foot was asleep. I wasn't too concerned, but after an hour he still said it felt asleep. Can the chiari reappear after decompression? We thought it was fixed.
