Confused Neuropathy in feet

Hello There!
I am writing in to find out if there are any members who might have been working as Flight Attendants for many years and have ended up having neuropathy in the feet. I am thinking that there may be a connection but
not really sure. I have numbness in both feet from the toes up to the mid arch areas of both feet. Often feelings of "electrical attacks" in my toes seem to occur in the evening when I am lying in bed. I eat properly and take appropriate vitamins for a 66 yr. old. OLD! If anyone has any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it. Not getting any satisfaction from my Neuro Dr.

Yes, Welcome to NeuroTalk, Susan.

Darlene has given you our link to the PN forum, which also has a subforum with a lot of information on it.

There are supplements a diabetic can try, which have studies behind them to help heal and prevent progression of diabetic PN.
They work differently than the typical RX drugs doctors prescribe for you.

So come to our forum here and begin to read. The main forum is more for general conversation, and the subforum for particular bits of information.

Hi Susan,
Your occupation may had something to do with it from being on your feet so much. My case is opposite, spent my career in clerical work sitting but believe I injured myself from exercise machine 9 years ago. I have neuropathy but no pain, numbness in toes and one foot will not flex so has progressed and walking has become difficult. I recently got into daily exercise program with exercises to strengthen the legs and feet (some prescribed by physical therapist) and it has helped more than anything. Tey the quinine for your electrical attacks at night like someone else recommended. I don't have any of the pain or discomforts that most of you have just weakness, loss of balance and loss of use. Get on the program Mrs. D and Wings mentions. I am. God speed, Jelly Bean
