Smile Hi from a new member

Hi all, I am Thelma and live outside of Philly. I have technically, small fiber poly neuropathy. I went to a neurologist about 8 - 10 years ago because of numbness occasionally in my toes. He didn't seem to think there was anything wrong. It continued and became more of a daily issue. I went again about 4 years ago and this time they did all sorts of electrical tests. He told me my diagnosis. I said when do I come back and he said I didn't have to...end of subject. I knew nothing about this and was dumbfounded I was dismissed this way. I've learned about it from the internet and the past 3 years my new family doctors has been very helpful. I take gabapentin 100mg in am and 200 at night.

I belong to travel forums and dog forums and I thought there must be a forum for this...so here I am after a bit of searching. I'm 64, married, have one daughter and 4 step children and a westie named Owin.

Welcome to the site.

I am not one that can usually link to forums. So I'm so glad others
have already done so.

I can relate to the numbness in parts of the body. I haven't been
to a neurologist for this though.

Hmmm, wondering about that. I don't exactly under stand why
a neuro though.

Default Thanks for the welcome.

I appreciate it. There is so much info here that it was a bit overwhelming to know where to go. I appreciate all the comments.

Well hi there. My name is Melody and I am 63 years young and I am learning how to cook. And bake. And I haven't burned anything yet.

You heard me right. I'm actually learning to be a real cook, not just open a package. I also grow my own food in my kitchen. I'm a sprouter.

I started with numb toes about 3 years ago. I'm diabetic. I knocked that right off by taking Methyl B-12 (5000) every single morning.

So if you want to find out how Methyl B-12 helps with neuropathy just google it and you'll learn LOTS of good info.

Take care

Melody

Hi Melody,

I am 64 and I'm not into cooking any more. LOL There is so much info here it is hard to absorb it all. Thanks for mentioning Methyl B-12. I just added that to my list of supplements to check into.
