I am also where you are. My husband sustained a Tbi 10 months ago. He is also high functioning but unable to work at present time. He is consumed by everything to do with his injury. He cannot interact much with others including myself and our children. He would rather just be left alone. He tells me all the time that I don't get it and don't care and he's about ready to leave our home. I'm not sure how to feel about it all. |
Hi JaneCal,
Welcome to the NeuroTalk Support Groups. I'm very sorry for the reasons that bring you here. There are some other members who are family members or friends who have posted in the 2 forums that I'll repost below. Has your husband been diagnosed with having Post Concussion Syndrome and if so, has he taken steps to find help for his particular symptoms? Here's the link to the Caregivers Support Forum and also the Traumatic Brain Injury & Post Concussion Syndrome Forum There is a wealth of information about TBI and PCS in that forum and lots of it can be found in the "Sticky" posts at the top. You may even like to post on the main part of that forum. I'm sure you'll find support and maybe some ideas that can help you both. take care. |
