Default new as well

just learned this past summer my husband was hydrocephalic. We dont know how long he has had this but he did get shunted. We think its been building since he was eighteen months old and from when he fell from a second story window. It was scary to see what it was doing to him. I still cry. So far the shunt seems to be helping. BUT we have both been wondering about medicle marijana as a possible treatment. My husband has smoked in the past and the personality change is night and day. Plus he thinks he is able to taste certain foods now as well. Imagine forty years of not tasting foods, smelling things, or feeling things touch you. If anybody wants to send an e-mail, I dont get on often but my husband and I feel alone and would welcome a chance to chat online and compare notes. I have to log out now but hope everyone has a blessed day.

Default thanks

Thank you for the warm welcomes. I hope to be able to sit with my husband and show him the site. He seems to be excited about having a place to chat and compare experiences with others who have hydrocephalus. I know I am. But I still am afraid as well. We dont know much about hydrocephalus. All I know is that my husband cried and was begging for help. As I said he did get shunted, but now what? Does anybody suffer from anger, or mood swings? What are the other symptoms of hydrocephalus? We are so tired of wandering in the dark. Any knowledge is welcome. When I am not on a work computer I, we would love to chat with someone. Maybe this evening? Thank you again for being so welcomming. And yes it is exciting for him to think he can taste some foods again. Mostly sweet, spicy, salty. But thats a great start.
