Question Peripheral neuropathy

I do have another question if anyone has had the same problem. I have been on gabapentin for two weeks now. I have not seen any difference in my pain level since I started taking it. How long does this medication take to work? Should I probably get another type of med? I will of course see my doctor and tell him, but has anyone had this problem? If so, what drug worked best for their peripheral neuropathy including pain meds? I also take Percocet and find that it helps somewhat some of the time, and at other times, it works fine.

Give it a little more time. With some people it takes up to a month to work. You should start seeing some improvement in the next couple of weeks. But try to be patient - I know it's hard, but it shouldn't be long now.

Best of luck & God bless. Hugs, Lee

hello and welcome,

i'd give any new med 2-4 wks.
i used neurontin early on and then had to switch to lyrica. more expensive but it markedly helped my neuropathic pain.
